Artcam 2008 pro i have working with a program called artcam2008. This program was working fine on windows 7 64 bit but when i upgraded to windows 10 64 bit this program started to be very slow and it takes around two minutes just to startup so is there any thing i can do to make it run normal on windows 10.
Solution: Opening the relief model in an older version of ArtCAM between 2013.SP2 and 2015 R2.SP3 and re-save the relief. This will fix error moving it forward to 2017. But, it is time consuming to open and re-save each and every rlf file, so the Development team have created a Toolbox add-in for ArtCAM 2015 R2 to batch converting legacy ArtCAM Relief files (*.rlf) to ensure their compatibility with the Autodesk ArtCAM 2017 product range. • Open ArtCAM 2015 • Create a New Model (any size) • Click on the Toolbox flyout on the right side • Open Batch Convert Reliefs • Check Overwrite Existing Files • We recommend first saving a safe copy of your Relief Clipart Library or whatever reliefs you are converting • Click the Browse and Convert button • • In the browse window, choose the folder you wish to convert and click Select Folder • The conversion will start automatically and usually takes a few seconds to a few minutes, depending on how many reliefs it is converting to the newer version.

Hi, Welcome to the Autodesk Community and the ArtCAM Forum. Wrote: I'm assuming that they no longer support the 2008 version. I know its been 10 years. I bought my version from shopbot in 2007. Don't use it very much. I tried to open some older files from last year and get a ( Failed to read model from file ) error. But its only in one folder.
All the other files from last year will open. The ArtCAM 2008 product range is no longer sold or supported, and since you do not have an active subscription or maintenance plan for an Autodesk ArtCAM product, you do not have access to service from Autodesk Support. That said, the Autodesk Community is primarily a peer-to-peer network, so the community will almost certainly help you with your reported issue. Please attach one of your problematic ArtCAM Model files (*.art) when replying to this post so that we can investigate further on your behalf. Thanks in advance for your time and cooperation. Kind regards.
Hi, wrote: Here is one of the files that won't open. Never had a problem until today.
Don't know why. I can open every file all the way back to 2007. Except in this one folder. I put all of my customers files in a folder with their name on it.
Nothing in this folder will open except for new files that was created yesterday. I have no issues with opening your supplied Fort McCook Trail sign.art file in ArtCAM Pro 2008.SP6 (build 357), as shown in the screenshot below: Please try copying your Fort McCook Trail sign.art file to the Windows clipboard, pasting it to your computer's desktop, and then opening the file in ArtCAM Pro 2008 from there. If these steps resolve your reported issue for this particular file, then I would suggest that there is an issue with the drive or folder in which the file is currently stored.
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to ask. Otherwise, please be so kind as to accept my response as a solution. Thanks in advance for your time and cooperation. Kind regards. Hi, wrote: Thanks Dillion for the reply and spending a few minutes to look at this. That didn't work for me. I copied and pasted to the desktop but when I tried to open from there I just get a spinning wheel.
It never opens. I get a artcam pro (not responding) I'll keep working on it. Thanks again. The difference between our results suggests that there is an issue with your computer or your ArtCAM Pro software installation. What specific build of ArtCAM Pro 2008 are you currently working in? To confirm this, select the Help > About ArtCAM Pro menu option in your ArtCAM software. For example, ArtCAM Pro 2008.SP6 (build 357).
