This is my first time asking for game-help, so I’m not sure if this is the right section to ask. If not, feel free to move it to the right section. -- Recently, I accidentally deleted the folder where I had all my Sims2pack files. Which of course lead to the icon on my desktop not working. I found out that I just wanted to uninstall and install it again, but I couldn't find the uninstall button anywhere, not even in the control panel.

Then I wanted to install Sims2pack again, but then it didn't allow me 'because I already have it installed, and needed to uninstall it.' But the problem is: there is no uninstall button! So now I can't re-download the program before I delete the old version. Can someone help me?

Try a registry cleaner and maybe something like Window Washer to clean out your temp files. You may even try going into your registry and looking for stuff manually. Be advised if you are not an advanced computer user you may cause some damage to your operating system, and some of these registry cleaners may clean out more than you want them too.

I had a problem over a year ago when Clean Installer ( the latest one ) stopped working and nothing I could do, reinstalling the program and reinstalling net framwork, cleaning out stuff excetera would resolve the problem. But I could install and use the older Clean Installer, which didn't have the same features in it. The way I finally fixed things and am again using the newer Clean Installer was to format my hard drive and reinstall My OS and all my programs.

Some file may have gotten corrupted in System 32 in XP, I don't know for sure, its still a mystery. Hope things work out for you. When you looked for clean installer files did you look in all of your C drive or just in program files?

You could have found Sims2Pack Clean Installer files in Application History for one. Can you do a search of your C drive using Sims2Pack Clean Installer as a search word if you didn't already? Jerryking does have an idea there. If you try to install an older version that what you had, and if it installs, and if you uninstall it, I wonder if it would take out the problem too. Or it could compound your problem. Or it may do nothing at all.

I of course said yes. Then I downloaded and ran the newer version. Did you even get that option when you tried to install it? I've agreed to uninstall a couple of times now. It never does. Probably because I don't have the files needed. Thanks for the advices, I really appreciate it.

When my computer decides not to cooperate, it really makes things hard for me. Jerryking: I'm going to look at that later. Hopefully, that will solve this problem.
